Data Deletion

You can delete your Furry Places account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains what gets deleted and how to request it.

Delete your account in the app

The fastest way to remove your data is from your account settings:

  1. Open the Furry Places app or website and sign in.
  2. Go to My Account.
  3. Scroll to Delete account, type DELETE to confirm, and submit.

Deleting your account removes your personal data — your profile details, pets, favorites, bookings, notification settings, and missing-pet reports — and your sign-in credentials, so you can no longer log in.

Your public contributions are kept but anonymized: your reviews (and their photos), any establishment photos you added, and events you created stay on Furry Places so ratings and community content remain intact, but they're no longer linked to you and appear as "Anonymous". This is subject to the retention exceptions below.

Request deletion by email

If you can't access your account, email privacy@furryplaces.app from the address associated with your account with the subject "Delete my data". To help us locate your account, include the email or sign-in method you used. We will verify your request and delete your data within 30 days, and confirm by email once complete.

What is retained

After deletion, we may retain limited information where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our agreements. Public spotlights previously posted to our social media accounts are managed on those platforms and are not automatically removed; contact us if you'd like a specific post taken down. Anonymized or aggregated analytics that can no longer identify you may be retained.
