These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Furry Places mobile app and website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Furry Places ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.
Your Account
You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. We support email/password, Google and Apple sign-in, and anonymous accounts. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Post content that is unlawful, misleading, fraudulent, hateful, or infringing
- Submit fake, spam, or duplicate establishments, reviews, events, or reports
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or business
- Harvest, scrape, or bulk-collect data or personal information from the Service
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Use the Service to harass, endanger, or violate the rights of any person or animal
User Content
The Service lets you submit content such as establishments, reviews, photos, pet profiles, missing-pet reports, events, and shelter listings ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content in order to operate and promote the Service — including publishing public spotlights of approved establishments, events, and shelters to our social media accounts.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to submit it. We may review, moderate, remove, or refuse any User Content at our discretion, and we apply strikes (warnings, temporary or permanent bans) for violations of these Terms or our community guidelines.
Content Accuracy
Establishment details, pet-friendliness, hours, events, and other information are provided by users and third-party sources and may be incomplete or out of date. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any listing. Verify important details — such as a venue's current pet policy — directly with the establishment before you visit.
Missing-Pet Reports
Missing-pet reports are a community feature and are not a substitute for contacting local authorities, shelters, or veterinarians. Reports expire automatically after a period of inactivity unless renewed. We are not responsible for the outcome of any report.
Third-Party Services and Links
The Service integrates with and links to third parties (for example maps, sign-in, analytics, advertising, and establishments' own websites and social pages). We are not responsible for third-party content, products, or practices, which are governed by their own terms and policies.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for your own User Content, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our permission.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Furry Places will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see our Data Deletion instructions). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
